How a repair works with us
- Tell us the problem. Call, WhatsApp or use the booking form. A warning light, a knock over bumps, a squeal when you brake: any detail helps.
- We check the car. We find the actual cause, not just the symptom, using diagnostic equipment where it's needed.
- You get a fixed price. We explain what needs doing now and what can wait. You decide.
- We fix it. Most everyday repairs are done the same day. If parts need ordering, we tell you when the car will be ready.
- You pay when it's done. No deposit, no card details upfront.
Found something else while it's on the ramp? We stop and call you first. Nothing extra goes on the bill without your yes.
Common faults we fix every week
- Squealing or grinding brakes, or the car pulling to one side when you brake.
- Engine warning light on the dashboard. See our guide to dashboard warning lights.
- Car won't start or starts slowly on cold mornings, usually the battery.
- Clutch slipping, a high biting point, or trouble getting into gear.
- Knocking or clunking over bumps, often worn shock absorbers, drop links or bushes.
- Loud or blowing exhaust, or a rattle from under the car.
- Air con blowing warm air in summer.
Failed your MOT? We do the repairs
If your car failed its MOT, bring the failure sheet to us. We go through every item, give you a fixed price and fix most cars the same day. We are not an MOT test centre, but we can arrange the retest and drive the car there and back for you.
Repairs we don't do
We'd rather be straight with you. We don't do wheel alignment, alloy wheel refurbishment or mobile call-outs. Everything is done at our garage on Feltham Road. If you need one of those, ask us and we'll point you to someone local we trust.

Frequently asked questions: car repairs
Do I have to pay anything upfront?
No. We never take a deposit. You pay when the job is done and you are happy with it.
Will the price change once you start?
We give you a fixed price before we start. If we find something else once the car is on the ramp, we stop and call you first. Nothing extra gets done without your yes.
Can you repair my car the same day?
Most everyday repairs like brakes, batteries, exhausts and punctures are done the same day. Bigger jobs such as clutches and cambelts may need parts ordered, and we will tell you the timing when we quote.
Do you work on Saturdays?
Yes. We are open Saturday 10am to 6pm, as well as Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
Do you do MOTs?
We are not an MOT test centre, but we arrange your MOT for you. We check the car, fix anything likely to fail, then take it to a local test centre and back.
