Synthetic vs Semi-Synthetic Oil – Which Do You Need?
Most cars built since around 2010 are specified by the manufacturer for fully synthetic oil, which flows better on cold starts, resists breakdown at high temperatures, and generally supports longer service intervals. Older or lower-mileage vehicles are often fine on semi-synthetic, which costs less.
We check your registration or handbook and use whichever grade your engine is actually specified for we don't upsell synthetic if your car doesn't need it, and we won't downgrade you to save a few pounds if it does.
